Applications are open for the Autumn School on Gender and Intersectional Inequalities in the Energy Transition (gEneSys). Hosted by Venice International University from 6 to 10 October 2025, the Autumn School will provide master's and PhD students, post-docs, early-stage researchers, and science communicators with an opportunity to explore the social, economic, and political dimensions of the energy transition through a gendered and intersectional lens. The programme builds upon the European project Transforming Gendered Interrelations of Power and Inequalities in Transition Pathways to Sustainable Energy Systems.
Over five days, the Autumn School will organise interactive workshops and scenario-building activities, equipping participants with tools and insights to integrate systemic perspectives into their research or professional work. Grants from the gEneSys project partially or fully support the costs of international travel, accommodation, tuition, course materials, lunches, social events, and taxes.
Applications close on 31 March 2025.
