RISEnergy ramps-up efforts to build an expansive ecosystem to accelerate renewable energy innovation with the opening of its second Transnational Access Call.
On Monday 31 March, RISEnergy officially opened applications for its second Transnational Access (TA) Call offering free access to the project’s cutting-edge research infrastructure (RI) services.
Building on the success of the first call in late 2024, which attracted more than 70 applications, this second call aims to further expand access to a selection of the best scientific infrastructures and services related to renewable energy technologies.
This time around, the call topic is once again focused on ‘‘innovative solutions to improve energy systems and/or reduce the life cycle cost of energy technologies enabling a wider use of renewable energy.’’
Moreover, this opportunity is aimed towards industrial and academic researchers working to boost innovation in the renewable energy fields covered by RISEnergy, namely biofuels, concentrated solar power, energy storage, hydrogen, information and communication technology, integrated grids, materials for energy, ocean energy, offshore wind and photovoltaics, as well as in cross-cutting areas that link these disciplines.
Applications that cover at least two of the indicated research areas will notably be prioritised.
The deadline for submitting applications to the call is 4 May 2025.
