The third edition of the European School on Nuclear Materials Science (ESNMS 2024) will take place from 27 October to 2 November at the Institut d’Etudes Scientifiques (IESC) in Cargèse, Corsica, France.

The school is co-organised by the Energy Division of CEA and the Swedish KTH Royal Institute of Technology as part of the co-funded European partnership on Nuclear Materials CONNECT-NM, with the support of the EERA Joint Programme on Nuclear Materials.

ESNMS 2024 will present the state-of-the-art in nuclear materials science. It will cover the challenging multi-scale modelling and characterisation of materials phenomena in the nuclear materials science context.

Furthermore, it will bring together world-leading European scientists in topics ranging from advanced electronic structure theory to continuum modelling, as well as sophisticated experimental characterisation techniques, to give the students the best possible toolbox for their future careers as nuclear materials scientists. All types of nuclear materials will be treated: structural (metallic and ceramics), functional and fuel materials.
