JPNM-Days 2025 will be held between the 8 and 9 October 2025 at the Materials Testing Institute of the University of Stuttgart.

Importantly, on 8 October, the event will be combined within the Materials Processes Applications (MPA) Conference, which will run from 6-8 October. The MPA Conference and JPNM-Days are planned to merge for the “Energy Revolution” and “Big Data and AI methods” sessions, which will be enabled to include nuclear materials presentations, as described below.

Against this backdrop, the JPNM-Days 2025 programme will look as follows:

Wed, October 8:

• Nuclear materials presentation/s within the MPA Conference
• JPNM social dinner

Thu, October 9:

• Morning: JPNM workshop/presentations
• Afternoon: JPNM Steering Committee meeting, open to the JPNM associate members, as well.

The submission of abstracts for the MPA Conference in either the “Energy Revolution” or “Big Data and AI methods” sessions is highly encouraged. If your abstract is accepted, JPNM will cover your one-day conference fee (for Wednesday). 

The deadline to submit an abstract is on 28 March.

Please note that, even if “nuclear” is not explicitly mentioned in the description of the sessions, the organisers of the conference are very keen on having nuclear contributions. Other sessions of the MPA Conference include a significant number of contributions with nuclear background, especially the “Structural Materials” or “Non Destructive Testing (NDT)” sessions.

Instructions to submit an abstract and get the one-day conference fee paid by JPNM:

1. Submit your abstract via the MPA conference website before March 28th (IMPORTANT: Put in the title of the abstract JPNM in parenthesis);
2. Send the abstract to the JPNM Secretary (jpnm.k@chalmers.se) as well;
3. Once your abstract is accepted and the conference fee paid, the JPNM will reimburse for the one-day fee or its equivalent (if you plan to attend more days of the conference) once you send a copy of the invoice with bank account details to the JPNM secretary.
